Dr. Adrienne Junek,
MD, CCFP, ABOIM
Integrative Medicine Physician
Dr. Adrienne Junek completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto and her residency in family medicine at the University of Ottawa. Since completing her studies she has worked primarily in rural emergency medicine as well as various walk-in clinics. Dr. Junek also has a passion for integrative medicine, which blends complementary and alternative health care approaches with conventional medical care. She has completed a fellowship in integrative medicine through the University of Arizona, teaches integrative medicine at the University of Ottawa medical school and works as an integrative medicine consultant.
Dr. Junek’s services at Integrate are focused on musculoskeletal medical care. She provides musculoskeletal-related medical care for current clients at Integrate and offers walk-in medical care exclusively for persons with musculoskeletal injuries. In 2020 Dr Junek plans to certify in neurofunctional acupuncture in order to expand the truly integrative nature of integrative musculoskeletal care: with this certification, she will be one of Ottawa’s few doctors offering medical acupuncture provided by a physician, which may be covered under certain insurance plans.
Dr. Junek enjoys hiking and cycling as well as ultimate frisbee and yoga, however, she’s currently focused on time at home with her family and is currently raising two young boys with her husband.
