OUR INTEGRATIVE APPROACH
ONE-OF-A-KIND ASSESSMENT
Integrate Healthcare Collective is the only clinic in Ottawa that takes its clients through an integrative initial assessment. Our chiropractic and physiotherapy healthcare professionals work collaboratively to diagnose and establish the most comprehensive and effective treatment approach for each client’s particular needs.
Your initial assessment can take up to two hours. We ask that you fill out your intake forms online before arriving for your appointment. If you cannot do this in advance, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to fill out a paper copy of the forms.
-
Bring a copy of any past CTs, MRIs or X-rays.
-
Dress comfortably for the examination, wearing comfortable shoes and shorts with a tank-top or T-shirt.

HOW IT WORKS
You will sit down with a chiropractor and physiotherapist to discuss your concern(s). Each therapist will take you through a private examination which may include some or all of the following:
-
Movement & functional analysis (specific to your sport or occupation)
-
A test of your muscle strength, flexibility, reflexes and coordination
-
Posture analysis
-
Orthopaedic testing
-
Gait analysis (analyzing the way your walk or run)
In addition to your physical assessment, we may discuss your diet, stress levels, along with sleep and exercise habits, as these all have impact on recovery times. By understanding your problem thoroughly, we’ll be able to recommend the most efficient course of treatment that will restore your normal movement and get you back to a pain free life as soon as possible. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions as your understanding plays a crucial role in your treatment and recovery.
RECEIVE YOUR TREATMENT PLAN
Based on our findings, we will meet with you to discuss your treatment plan (including home based exercise and stretching recommendations, dietary advice, sleep and stress management tips). You will also have the opportunity to ask questions as your understanding plays a crucial role in your treatment plan and recovery.
