Vicki Lafleur
Registered Physiotherapist
I'm Vicky, a proud graduate of Queen’s University, where I earned my Master of Science in Physiotherapy, after completing my undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University. My journey in physiotherapy began with a focus on orthopaedic care, but after experiencing my own postpartum recovery challenges, I developed a strong passion for women’s health and pelvic health. I take a holistic approach to treatment, looking at the whole person to uncover the root causes of dysfunction and help clients overcome barriers to living an active, fulfilling life.
I combine hands-on techniques, exercise prescription, and educational strategies to create individualized rehabilitation plans. My expertise includes physiotherapy, pelvic health physiotherapy, acupuncture, myofascial release, visceral mobilization, and movement training (MovNat levels one and two). Over the years, I’ve gained diverse experience working in clinics, hospitals, and homecare in Northern Ontario, as well as locum work in Whitehorse. I’ve also served as a trainer for junior hockey teams and currently train my children’s hockey team, which allows me to bring a unique perspective to sports-related injuries and active lifestyles.
Outside the clinic, I’m passionate about staying active and adventuring with my two kids. I love hiking, paddleboarding, swimming, ball hockey, soccer, and both downhill and cross-country skiing. My goal is to empower my clients to return to the activities and lifestyle they love, supporting them through every step of their recovery journey.
Credentials: M.Sc. PT
Additional Certifications: Acupuncture, myofascial release, visceral mobilization, movnat trainer level one and two.
