Andrea White,
FMCHC, HCA-RHC™
Functional Medicine Coach

Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach | Health Coach Alliance Registered Health Coach
Andrea White is a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC) and a Health Coach Alliance Registered Health Coach (HCA-RHC™). She completed her training through the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA)—the only program designed and delivered in collaboration with The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the global leader in functional and integrative medicine. The FMCA is approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching and is an approved school by the Canadian Health Coach Alliance.
As a functional medicine health coach, Andrea is passionate about root-cause medicine, prevention, lifestyle medicine, and supporting health span. She helps individuals address modifiable lifestyle and risk factors that contribute to chronic symptoms and poor health outcomes. Her work focuses on empowering clients to optimize nutrition, movement, sleep, stress resilience, and nervous system regulation—restoring balance and supporting long-term wellbeing.
Andrea brings a deep understanding of transformation and identity shifts. As a former Canadian National 400m hurdler, Ironman 70.3 competitor, CrossFit athlete, and trail runner, she has lived the powerful connection between mindset, habit, recovery, and performance. Later in life, she experienced her own personal reinvention—shifting from elite sport into a new chapter as both a mother and a functional medicine health coach. Having navigated that transition, she is passionate about supporting others through life changes, health challenges, and personal reinvention with compassion and clarity.
Andrea’s coaching style is collaborative, client-led, and grounded in positive psychology and behavior-change science, helping close the Intention–Behavior Gap—the space between knowing what to do and being able to do it consistently. She supports patients in creating realistic plans, building sustainable habits, and cultivating the confidence, accountability, and resilience needed to achieve lasting results. Her focus is on helping individuals move from overwhelm to clarity, from stagnation to momentum, and from symptom-focused living to intentional, empowered health.
After 15 years in Germany, Andrea is thrilled to be back in Ottawa, where she now raises her two young daughters. Outside of her coaching work, you’ll find her running the Gatineau trails—often with her dog or a finish line in sight.
