Does OHIP cover these visits?
Yes, pain and injury assessments are covered by OHIP. Our medical doctors, like many physicians also provide services for which some fees may apply.
What types of conditions are seen?
These appointments are meant for individuals with pain and injury related to musculoskeletal conditions. This includes, but is not limited to: joint pain (back, neck, shoulder, knee, ankle, foot, wrist, hand, elbow, and jaw), headaches, concussions, osteoarthritis and chronic pain conditions.
Can I have opioids prescribed or a fracture treated?
No, our medical doctors do not prescribe opiods, and are not able to cast fractures or provide on-site x-rays. If there is a risk of fracture, our medical doctors can refer you for diagnostic imaging at another location and treatment (if needed) at another facility
