Dr. Nick Ruitenbeek graduated from Western University with a B.A. Honours Specialization in Kinesiology and then went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic from D’Youville College in Buffalo, New York.
Nick recognizes the importance of continuing education and is certified in ART (Active Release Techniques), Neurofunctional Medical Acupuncture (trained through McMaster Medical School) and Cox flexion-distraction technique (a low velocity, gentle approach aimed at decreasing intervertebral disc space pressure and relieving pressure on spinal nerve roots, allowing the nervous system to function properly).
He also performs instrument assisted soft tissue release, and has his Level 1 certification from the Titleist Performance Institute in golf swing analysis, biomechanics, and treatment oriented towards improving swing patterns and helping golfers of all skill levels get the most out of their game.
Growing up, he played a variety of sports ranging from hockey and football to golfing and swimming. Now when not in the clinic, he can be found working on his golf game, biking along the canal, kayaking, or hiking through Gatineau park.
