Katelyn Trenouth, BSc., D.C.
Graston Technique Provider
Dr. Katelyn Trenouth is an Ottawa native who completed a Bachelor of Science Honours in Neuroscience and Mental Health at Carleton University in 2015. Prior to attending graduate school, she explored opportunities in both allopathic and complementary alternative medical fields. Ultimately, she chose chiropractic by virtue of its uniqueness and effectiveness in addressing pain and dysfunction from a conservative and biopsychosocial approach. Dr. Katelyn attended New York Chiropractic College and graduated with Honours in 2019.
To complete her clinical training, Dr. Katelyn participated in a competitive, application-based clerkship at a teaching hospital in Florida through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department, she was immersed in an intensive program aimed at the diagnosis, treatment and conservative management of complex neuro-musculoskeletal conditions. She gained additional experience in the interpretation of radiographic and laboratory studies while gaining exposure to surgical cases and other interventional pain management modalities.
Dr. Katelyn prioritizes continuing education to better serve her patients. She endorses a multi-faceted approach to care and incorporates a range of services including but not limited to: spinal and extremity joint mobilization and manipulation, myofascial release techniques, Graston® Technique, Flexion Distraction Technique, functional taping, and exercise prescription. She will also be offering Medical Acupuncture in June 2020.
Dr. Katelyn is passionate about movement as medicine. As a previous competitive gymnast, she maintains an active lifestyle through weightlifting, hiking, rock climbing and yoga.
